The tips below are from me(Jazmin):-) Hope you get something out of it.
I am gonna give you the stereotypical advice which is: 1. Practice cause it really does make perfect.
2.Smile.
3. Have fun.
4.Make new friends.
5.HAVE A TON OF ENTHUSIASM.
Ok so you're probably thinking why is she telling me the same thing I've heard only 100 times?
Well,because thats the problem! You've heard it so much that some of you begin to think "yeah, yeah, whatever, I know that already, I want the good exclusive advice." Some of you f forget to practice the easy stuff like that smile and yall forget to be enthusiatic because youall begin to think the real good advice is some secretive stuff from the queens so there you go off looking for some "secretive good advice" but the "secretive good advice" is what I just said! The only difference is that it's not a secret!
Then other problem is girls go into the pageant thinking its the easiest thing ever because they watched the videos and it looks all so simple.Don't get me wrong it is that simple IF you apply the information that the pageant gives you! Then you can do great ,its like getting all the answers to a test and just memorizing them. The pageant is supplying you with all the info, all you have to do is apply it,so like I said, don't get me wrong it is pretty simple, I don't wanna make it seem like its so hard but what I'm tryin to say is that it might not be what you expect, you might get a little stage fright and not know what your doing. You might make little mistakes like looking at the floor, walking to fast,speaking to fast,not smiling, and so on.So practice alot and u probably won't have these problems.If you really follow my advice , trust me whem I said YOU WILL have a great chance at making semi finals.
So listen to all the sterotypical advice, don't go out and get expensive coaching, don't get 10 million things from pageantcenter.com and if you wanna purchase an item that can help you get the best advice I can give you is to get a book. Two good ones are "101 secrets to winning pageants" and "How to win your crown,a teens guide to pageant competition".
So now I would guess you think I'm crazy but I bet ya if you listen to what I said you'll do great. Just take about a hlaf hour and go over all the info the pageant sent you!............................................Oh, and remember you will be truly satisfied when you know you did your absolute best,not when you take home that crown.It's the satisfaction that makes u the winner,not the crown and banner.If everyone does their very best there will be alot of state winners going to nationals!You may not go to the nationals that all the "winners" with the crowns and banners go to but you will go to the nationals thats in your heart I think you'll be proud of your accomplishment!!

It doesn't matter how much make up you put on. It doesn't matter how many Miss Teen USA pageants you've watched. All that matters in American Coed Pageants, is that you take the time to show off yourself. This pageant is made so that you can show the judges, the audience,and yourself, the real you. That's all the judges are looking for. They want to see if you are comfortable showing them who you are. You may think, "Oh well that sounds easy." Well guess what, I'll let you in on a little secret, it is. All you have to do is have fun, smile, use your personal personality, and just be confident with yourself. If you put these little tips, even though as Jazmin would say, "They're the stereotypical tips." then you will know you've done your best.
